Experience and Safety2021-03-03T04:50:39+00:00

In operation since 1981, Perth’s Outback Splash (formerly The Maze) is a year-round, outdoor entertainment venue with a mixture of activities and water attractions.

We have developed specialised training programs and our Team are committed to reviewing and improving these programs on-going. Our First Aid Officers, Lifeguards and Attraction Attendants receive tailored training each season and hold the relevant formal qualifications as a minimum standard, such as that provided by Royal Life Saving WA.

Our equipment is designed, manufactured, installed and operated in accordance with Australian Standards and we conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure everything is in good working order. Operational procedures and rules of use, as determined by each attraction manufacturer, are followed and our venue is audited annually by third party safety specialists, DRA Safety (QLD).

Our Team works closely with the Western Australian Health Department, Local Government Representatives, Work Safe and other governing bodies to ensure we meet the highest standards at all times.

Working With Children Checks2021-03-03T04:49:04+00:00

‘Child-related work’, is defined in Section 6 of the Working with Children (Criminal Record Checking) Act 2004 and by the Government of Western Australia Department of Communities document, Factsheet 1: What is ‘child-related work.’

There are just 18 relevant categories where Working With Children Cards are required. None of which are applicable.

As per our excursion policy, our Team members are responsible for ensuring the safe operations of our attractions and facilities; Teachers, Supervisors and/or Parent-Guardians are responsible for the care and supervision of children at all times.

“Took our students to Outback Splash for a team bonding day and it did not dissapoint!
So much fun and the staff were very attentive. Would highly recommend for your next function.”
